Overview

The Community Foundation offers a dedicated After-School Program Fund aimed at enhancing educational and enrichment opportunities for K-8 students, with an emphasis on elementary levels, throughout Grays Harbor County. The program is a pillar in GHCF's strategic investment in youth development.

Purpose & Goals

  • Supports existing after-school programs in local school districts and nonprofits.
  • Focus on enhancing quality-funds may cover:
    • Expanded programming (STEM, arts, engineering, technology)
    • Support staff or instructor roles
    • Special projects like field trips or guest presentations

Who Can Apply

  • Public school districts (K-8) in Grays Harbor County
  • Nonprofits or community organizations offering after-school programs

Requirements

  • Grants must be used within the designated academic year for intended purposes.
  • Recipients are expected to submit a final report highlighting program outcomes and impact.
  • We focus on serving elementary-aged children, though funding may extend to other grades.

Final Reporting

Final Reports are necessary to be considered for future funding. Organizations that do not submit a final report will be disqualified for future funding opportunities.
