Weatherwax Exhibit

The Grays Harbor Community Foundation and Polson Museum are joining forces to present an exhibit commemorating the Weatherwax Family at the museum with the Grand Opening to coincide with the Art Project unveiling.

This long term exhibit will honor the community pride, community spirit, strong work ethic, and generosity of this pioneer family that helped shape and cultivate Grays Harbor.

The Grays Harbor Community Foundation has been blessed with several large gifts from the Weatherwax family, and wish to acknowledge this generosity in a meaningful and permanent way. To honor the Weatherwax family, we are funding the Adam Kuby public art piece, utilizing sandstones recovered from the former J.M. Weatherwax High School building. Resurgence (working title), is under construction at the corner of Simpson and Alder in Aberdeen. Unveiling is scheduled for June 2013.
