Grays Harbor Community Foundation awards over $256,000 in grants

The Grays Harbor Community Foundation is pleased to invest $256,473.80 into our community through our Community Building Grants program. This cycle we awarded projects ranging from arts and culture, to food programs, to improvement of community resources.

The organizations that were funded through our First Cycle Community Building Grants program include:

  • 7th Street Kids – Building 7th Street Kids Musical Theater Program Capacity
    Catholic Community Services – Feed the Hungry
    Grays Harbor College – Emergency Operations Center at Grays Harbor College
    Grays Harbor Poggie Club – New filter system for potable water at Mayr Hatchery
    Green Lantern Lunch Program – Summer Lunches
    Hoquiam Elks Lodge – Exterior Brick wall joint and hope repair
    Hoquiam Middle School – Water Fountains
    Hoquiam Senior Citizen Center – Hoquiam Senior Day Trips
    The Horse Prayer – Facility/Educational/Equine equipment and care
    Montesano Community Center – Montesano Senior Health and Nutrition
    Montesano School District – Montesano SD Multi-Use Turf project
    Montesano Community Outreach – Summer Art Camp
    Ocosta Cares – Community Resource Room
    South Beach Arts Association – Bridging Arts: Promotion to Identity
    Pacific Education Institute – Grays Harbor Field STEM Implementation and Dual-Credit Forestry Course
    Pediatric Interim Care Center – Infant Withdrawal Program
    Wishkah Valley School District – Old Gym Renovation Project

Grants Committee member George Donovan commented “We are pleased with the number of high quality projects submitted this cycle. We received over $600,000 in requests, which showcases the great need for support our local organizations face. We are honored to partner with so many organizations that are providing critical resources to Grays Harbor County.”
