The Grays Harbor Community Foundation is pleased to invest $27,500 into our community through our newly formed Small Grants Program. The Foundation created this new program in addition to our twice annual Community Building Grants Program in order to address immediate, smaller scale needs in our community that range between $500 – $5,000. We were able to leverage some of our donor advised funds to award eight organizations funding this quarter.
The organizations that were funded through our Small Grants Program this quarter include:
Aberdeen Rotary Foundation – Non-Profit Management Software
Montesano Band Booster Club – Bulldog Instrument Replacement Program
Children’s Advocacy Center of Grays Harbor– Project Connections
Coastal Interpretive Center – Porch Replacement and ADA Compliance Upgrade
Grays Harbor 4-H – Discover 4-H
Montesano Jr/Sr High School Drama Club – Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Ocosta School District– Weekend Brunch Bunch
Quinault Valley Chapel Food Bank- Walk-in Refrigeration Unit
Executive Director, Eric Potts commented: “When we reformatted our Community Building Grants Program earlier this year, we did so in hopes of funding larger scale, high impact projects that range between $5,000 – $30,000. We created our Small Grants Program as an additional opportunity for agencies who still have a great need but at a lesser dollar amount. Our goal is to be available for the gamut of needs in our community that fit within our established Giving Priorities and that are providing important services to our residents.”
