Community Foundation awards $89,210.00 in Grants

The Grays Harbor Community Foundation is pleased to be able to invest $89,210.00 into the community through our 4th quarter grants cycle. This quarter, the Foundation received applications spanning from Oakville to Ocean Shores. Many of the applications received were from first time applicants with no prior history with the Foundation.

In addition to funding twelve organizations this quarter, the Foundation will also sponsor multiple trainings in 2017 for Grays Harbor nonprofits to attend at no cost. These trainings will cover grant writing, nonprofit finance and how to strengthen your board. All trainings will take place in Grays Harbor.

The organizations that were funded through our 4th quarter discretionary grants program include:

With the pool of applicants continuing to rise, we are looking forward to our new grant structure in 2017. Our new approach will allow both nonprofits and our local educational systems the opportunity to prioritize their highest needs that will best serve the residents of Grays Harbor. We appreciate all the great work these organizations are doing on behalf of the residents of Grays Harbor and look forward to continuing to support that great work.”
