The Grays Harbor Community Foundation is pleased to be able to invest $151,589.00 into the community through our 1st quarter grants cycle. The Foundation has long been a resource to Grays Harbor County nonprofit organizations by offering grants four times a year.
The organizations that were funded this quarter include: Aberdeen School District for Freshman Community Connections, Catholic Community Services for Feed the Hungry, Friends of Schafer and Lake Sylvia State Parks for the Lake Sylvia Legacy Project, Gravity Grays Harbor for Project Hope, Grays Harbor College Foundation for Disability Support Services, Grays Harbor Youth Works for Scholarships, Habitat for Humanity for House #18, Hoquiam Library Friends for Library Repairs and Improvements, Lake Quinault School for the Missoula Children’s Theater, NAMI Washington Coast for Interagency Mental Health First Aid Education, South Sound Parent to Parent for their Early Intervention Program, St. Mary School for Interactive Social Studies Curriculum and Summit Pacific Medical Center for Bed Upgrades for the McCleary Clinic.
Executive Director, Eric Potts commented that “We are starting to see both the number of requests as well as dollar amounts increase to record levels each quarter. We are glad to see local nonprofits expanding their services to our community and working hard to continuously make Grays Harbor stronger.”
The Foundation has quarterly grant opportunities with applications accepted on the first business day of January, April, July, and October each year. The next submission deadline is April 1, 2016.
